While health coaching is on the rise in the wellness community, there is still a lot of skepticism around what they actually do and why you may actually need one. Let’s clear up a few common questions to help you better navigate this new service industry.

What is a health coach?

A health coach is your ultimate guide to a healthy lifestyle. They are your educator for nutrition, fitness, stress management and ALL THINGS WELLNESS. Starting with an initial consultation, you will discuss your goals with your coach, and determine what packages they offer that fit your needs. From there, you will receive a completely customized plan covering (but not limited too) nutrition, fitness, stress management techniques, and anything else that coach may have to offer. Close communication is kept for the duration of the package to hold accountability, motivate, and modify when needed. A lot of this can be done virtually, but face to face meet ups about every two weeks are fairly common as well.

Why do you need a health coach?

With all the fad diets, workout trends, and wellness Instagram accounts, it can be hard to navigate the wellness world we live in today. With a health coach, everything is completely catered to you. The noise of all the unsolicited health advice you have ever heard is drowned out, and that coach is only focused on what works for you. Close communication and regular meet-ups allow you to give feedback and make adjustments, so you won’t be stuck on a plan that isn’t working or worse – that you don’t enjoy. A health coach will help you make healthy a LIFESTYLE.
